Kunnamkulam /Thrissur : A private tuition teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting three minor girl students at Choondal near Kunnamkulam in Kerala’s Thrissur district.
The accused, Noushad (52), a native of Choondal, was arrested by the Kunnamkulam Police under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
According to the police, the alleged assaults took place while the girls were attending tuition classes at the accused’s residence, where he operated a tuition centre.
The incident came to light after the girls’ relatives noticed changes in their behaviour and questioned them, following which the children disclosed the alleged abuse. A complaint was subsequently filed with the Kunnamkulam Police.
Police recorded the statements of the victims before taking the accused into custody and formally arresting him. Further investigation is underway.
