Thrissur: A young man suffered an electric shock after coming into contact with an overhead power line while standing on top of a train.
The incident occurred near Platform 4 at Thrissur Railway Station. The युवक had climbed onto a stationary goods train parked near the goods shed and accidentally touched the overhead electric line. He was thrown to the ground by the impact of the electric shock.
His clothes were completely burnt in the incident. Railway officials immediately switched off the power supply to the overhead line, and he was rushed to a private hospital in Thrissur in a 108 ambulance.
The incident took place at around 7:30 p.m. today. The identity of the injured man has not yet been established.
